Random Thought Of The Week: 1

Okay so being here in Peru, there is plenty of room to notice the extreme differences between Peruvian culture and our culture in The United States. Here is my thought of the week about culture differences.

Walking around the streets of Cusco, there are TONS of street vendors selling food. It's quite astonishing to see how many people are trying to sell things. You saw my picture of the pineapple lady. She literally was cutting up and selling pineapple on the street out of a wheelbarrow.

There are people here who literally have a bag, a knife, and two squirt bottles filled with sauce. They peel and chop up potatoes and then put the mystery sauces that reside in the squirt bottles ontop of the potatoes and sell it to customers.

I don't know what I find more interesting, the fact that people are willing to pay to eat these street-side-hustle foods, or that these vendors, (primarily women) make lots of money partaking in selling these snacks/meals on the sides of the streets.

Final Thought: Peruvians redefine side hustle.
