RUTGERS T-SHIRT
Shout out to everyone at Rutgers, you all have played an important part in my life.
(special shout out to Mike Clark for giving me my first RU t-shirt once I committed to attending)
Ladies and gentlemen, here is a picture of me at JFK - in the BIG apple - awaiting my flight from New York to Lima. Once I arrived in Lima, I had another brief flight to Cuzco. Cuzco is the city in Peru that I will be staying in for the next four weeks.
Today, I did a lot of walking around in the city. The culture here is extremely different from The United States. There were two ladies sitting under a tree just hanging out, drinking some Inca Cola. By the way, Inca Cola is like the Coca-Cola of Peru. It looks a little bit like carbonated urine and it tastes just like bubblegum. I hope you enjoyed that vivid description!
I went to a restaurant/lounge called Don Esteban for a light lunch. There, I got a Chicha Morada and an emapanda con aji y gallina. The Chicha Morada is a drink that was pretty tasty and the empanada was delicious. The ambiance alone will make me be a returning customer at Don Esteban...well that and the free Wi-Fi ;-)
Other things I did today...
- went to el supermercado and bought some water
- went to a bakery and tried some honey, dulce de leche, and crema
- went to a bakery and bought 4 different types of bread
- I know what you're thinking, I love to eat - you couldn't be more correct.
Hasta pronto mis amores!
